By Jose Rosa & Hector “Pocho” Neciosup

The Art of Latin Drumming is a systematic approach to learning South American and Carribean rhythms on drum set.  The book is broken into several chapters, or “weeks,” and is organized by rhythmic patterns, including rumba, cascara, and merengue.   The rhythms provided in this book are applicable to many Latn American ensemble settings but also build the players 4 way independence and the ability to play superimposed rhythms.  Each new rhythm is introduced with a detailed history and cultural significance.  This book comes with 2 play along CD’s and is written in both English and Spanish.
