“Symmetric It’s All. Planned. Out.” This is the opening line of the poem that this work is based off of. The work follows strictly the words of the poem just as the first sentence states. Yi uses this style of composition to craft a masterful tone poem for solo vibraphone. Which in this work the performer has a lot of opportunities for interpretation of the text and symbols leaving each performance slightly different just as if they were reading the poem out loud.
