Instrumentation: Snare and voice.
The solo requires the player to use their voice as well as sticks, brushes, and their hands on a snare drum that will sometimes be on or off. Many tricks are required such as rim-shots, rim-clicks, and different playing areas to produce different pitches and sounds. There is a key to explain the notation. Different styles of drumset playing are explored on a single snare drum, which allows the piece to be quite groovy.
