Title: Four Rotations for Solo Marimba

Author: Eric Sammut

Sammut’s “Four Rotations” have become some of the most frequently performed works for solo marimba. Groovy rhythms and jazz harmonies can be found throughout the four pieces, which can be performed individually or as a group. Each lasting about two-four minutes in length and scored for a 4.3 octave marimba, the “Rotations” are accessible to both performers and audience alike. A complete recording of all four “Rotations” can be heard on She-Wu’s album “Snapshot.”
